Nearby Computing and Kyndryl announce collaboration to boost the deployment of business applications at the edge

Kyndryl, the technology services company, and Nearby Computing, the leading platform for Edge Computing Orchestration and Automation, have announced today the signing of an agreement to provide integrated Edge Computing services for various use cases to Kyndryl and Nearby Computing clients.
As part of this agreement, Nearby Computing will collaborate with Kyndryl to develop and launch an Edge Computing-focused laboratory on Nearby Computing’s Edge-to-cloud orchestration and automation platform, NearbyOne. Kyndryl will manage the “Platform as a Service (PaaS)” and enable clients to easily deploy business applications at the Edge.
According to Gartner’s 2023 report, “By 2027, 20% of large enterprises will have deployed an edge management and orchestration (EMO) solution, a significant increase from the less than 1% adoption rate in 2023”.
NearbyOne’s architecture is open and scalable, allowing seamless integration with any type of application, in accordance with GSMA Operator Platform v6.0 requirements. Leveraging their extensive experience in critical infrastructure management and integration, Kyndryl professionals will create a broad portfolio of pre-integrated applications specific to each industry, ready to be activated within minutes. The solution includes dynamic deployment, application automation control, continuous monitoring of KPIs, and lifecycle management.
