Successful participation at MWC 2023

Nearby Computing participated at Mobile World Congress 2023 in Barcelona. MWC is a must-attend event for anyone working in the telco industry. For companies such as Nearby Computing, it represents the chance to be at the right place at the right time.

According to our CEO, Josep Martí, “the objectives were showcasing our newly launched NearbyOne v2.0, which is the most complete orchestration platform in the market, and meeting with partners and customers to create key alliances and explain to them how we can enable some of the most challenging and exciting future use cases in the era of connectivity and 5G networks”.

Serving the mobile industry needs at MWC 2023

It was also a unique opportunity for Nearby Computing to understand how the mobile industry is evolving and to put Edge Computing at the service of this industry. “We have joined GSMA recently because we are keen to contribute to the progress of the global mobile industry by unleashing the potential of Edge Computing and 5G networks, which will be key to most of the future apps”, Martí added.

During this 2023 event, we showcased to the world how Edge Computing is enabling amazing things in government, enterprises, and industries using NearbyOne, the market’s most complete orchestration platform. Concretely, the use cases we presented were:

R How to create your own scalable entry-level Telco Edge Cloud and expand your services based on your customer’s demand with Starhub.
R New network paradigms for critical industries developed together with INDRA.
R Smart cities use cases through a 5G private city network, as developed in Barcelona for the 5G Cat pilot.
R Fast deployment of services for enterprises with remote locations developed together with Hispasat.Partners and customers showed great interest in these use cases and Nearby Computing’s name was highlighted among the hustle and bustle of the event.

Important contracts attract new partners at MWC 2023

“NearbyOne is the first orchestration product to be awarded contracts in Telco Edge Cloud, as the one with Telefonica with Camara project or those with enterprises as ATC with a Multi-Access Edge Compute use case for Automotive. These success stories attract other potential customers and partners, so we are very satisfied with the results of MWC 2023”, our CTO and Chairman David Carrera explained.

All in all, our participation in MWC23 was a great success and allowed us to consolidate our position in the ecosystem and generate new key strategic alliances. “We are already working on these new alliances because we place great value on our partners’ network, since we understand that the greatest results are achieved when businesses work together with a shared vision and common goal to deliver superior technology solutions to respond to the challenges and needs of the different industries”, Carrera said.
